Dogs can be the most loyal animals on the planet. They don’t only form a strong bond with humans but also with their homes. This is likely the case with the missing dog who walked almost 60 miles back to find her old home.
Cleo, a four-year-old Labrador went missing from her home in Olathe, Kansas. After a few days, he turned up in her owner’s old house in Lawson, Missouri, which is nearly 60 miles away from her current home.
Her owner, Drew, was so worried and reported her pet missing. On the other hand, Michael Colton was in shock when he found Cleo on their front porch.
According to him, he and his wife just got home and they were so surprised to see a dog lying on their front porch, who seemed to be waiting for someone. They wondered how she ended up there and checked for his collar. However, Cleo was so shy and didn’t want them to get near her.
The couple really wanted to help Cleo get back together with her owner so they got her checked for a microchip. Much to their surprise, Cleo was owned by the former occupant of their house, who now lives 57 miles away. They immediately got a hold of Drew and he was equally dumbfounded.
Drew could not believe how Cleo was able to find their old home. Her pet surely had a tough journey and his heart broke just thinking of all the things she had to go through.
Drew really found everything amazing, considering they left the old house two years ago. Clearly, Cleo missed her old home a lot where she spent a lot of beautiful days with her family. What happened was still a mystery to Drew but he was so happy to be reunited with his canine friend.
